Marine Projects Ltd. shipyard handed over to the client a partially equipped trawler m / v Cap Arkona. This is an innovative universal vessel of the hook / trawler / crustacean (longliner / trawler / potter) type for Australian shipowner Austral Fisheries Pty Ltd.

Marine Projects Ltd. announced that "it is a prototype unit, adapted to fishing by various methods, which will enable efficient operation of the vessel throughout the year in accordance with the fishing restrictions applicable in different periods and regions."

Cap Arkona is 66.90 m long, 15.00 m wide and 6.26 m lateral height. The vessel will be equipped with two internal combustion engines. The capacity of the refrigerated hold is 1 150 m3. Ship will have crew of 40 people.

The unit was built according to BV regulations for class + 1A ICE - IC, Fishing vessel, EO, RP. After towing to Norway, the trawler will eventually be equipped in the Båtbygg AS shipyard in Raudeberg and handed over to the shipowner in 2020.

Marine Projects Shipyard was founded in 1989. It specializes in building ready units of partially equipped ship hulls, hull sections and blocks as well as complete superstructures.
